A creed for the sowing of seeds.
“I believe that the Word of God has many times been planted in my life, often because of another who received the seed in ready soil, brought forth a harvest and shared that goodness with me.

I believe that great things can come from even the tiniest seed planted in love and cared for tenderly in the heart of another.

I believe that only God knows what sprouting will come from the Word planted through my life. I am content in knowing that I have tried, with the Sower’s grace, to seed that Word in faith and love”.
Joyce Rupp.

IMPORTANT VISIT AND SALE OF ICONS
AND OTHER RELIGIOUS ITEMS
On Friday evening next, July 18th from 8 p.m. two sisters from the St. Elizabeth Convent at Minsk, Belarus will visit the Parish Centre, Tullow and hold a sale of icons and other religious and liturgical items.
The Convent is on the territory of a huge psychiatric hospital where the sisters help the mentally disabled adults and children, alcoholics, drug addicts and other disadvantaged people who failed to find their place in social life.
On the premises of the convent there is a variety of workshops where numerous religious items are produced such as hand-painted icons and printed icons, ceramics, embroidery, bees-wax candles, vestments, woodwork, CD’s etc.
The two sisters have travelled by van to sell these items in a number of parishes and religious houses in Great Britain and Ireland to raise money for their great charitable work, and to help build an orphanage and convent.
