SEE YOUR NAME ON A STAR! Saturday 5th December is International Volunteer Day—a special occasion selected by the U.N. to celebrate the commitment and generosity of volunteers all around the world. In Tullow parish, we appreciate the opportunity to highlight the contributions of volunteer organisations and individual volunteers at local, parish, national and international levels.
A “lighting ceremony” will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday 3rd December and all volunteers are invited to come and view the spectacle. The Christmas Tree will be displayed in the Fairgreen Shopping Centre and will be decorated with special stars on which will be listed the name of Tullow volunteers.
Naomh Padraig Bowls opened on Monday 23rd November. To date there is a membership of 28. Bowls on Monday and Friday 2– 4 p.m. in G.A.A. Sports Complex, Ballymurphy Road, Tullow.
Forthcoming Christmas Draw on December 21st for Turkey, Ham, Lamb, coal and briquettes.
